13 Jan YOC Receives Grant from Old National Bank to Keep Kids Healthy

Old National Bank’s Champions for a Safe Community awarded the YOC $9,000 to keep its residents healthy. The grant will help the YOC replace a broken 20-year-old industrial-grade kitchen boiler.
Amy Freeman, ONB vice president corporate relations (middle), presented the check to (left to right) Jeff Helm, director of IT and facilities, and Polly Craig, YOC Foundation executive director, in the YOC’s kitchen on December 28, 2016.

The YOC is a local leader and advocate for wellness initiatives. “We know that healthy children are better learners,” said Craig. Helm added, “As a residential, juvenile behavioral health treatment center with an on-grounds school, our kitchen follows USDA regulations and makes sure that all school foods meet the nutrition standards promoted in the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.”

This grant is one of 17 awarded by ONB’s Champions program in 2016.
